| The St. Anne
National Water Park
It is the first water park in the history of the Indian Ocean (it has been
settled in 1973). With its 150 species of marine fauna, the Park
constitutes the necessary complement for those who want to watch
an unforgettable spectacle.
Tour of Mahè
Mahè is the most important and the most peculiar of the
granites islands of the archipelago. In the northeastern part of
the island we can find Victoria. With its colonial market, the shops,
the modern government buildings, the ports and the small harbors
in front of the isles group of the marine park, Victoria is one
of the smallest capital towns in the world. The National Road starts
from there and it goes all around the island perimeter, beginning
from giant sand recoveries where there are standing modern sport
facilities and artificial islands. We prosecute towards the international
airport where we meet Anse Pins, Anse Royale, Anse Intendance, Anse
Takamaka and other beaches and villages, then we stop to Ternay.
Each of these sites has got its own peculiarities, its beach, the
hotels and restaurants. In the north part, an half round keeps us
in touch with Beau Vallon, Machabee, North East Point and other
centers, then we get back to Victoria. The roads that cut the island
from west to east, with mountain picks always higher (until 900
meters) go through tropical woods that have got no equal in the
wide world. The beaches are wonderful, with the changing tide mixed
to the reflexes of the sky. The hotels and restaurants, all along
the island perimeter, with the open sites to tourists, offer a diversified
view of living in the Seychelles.
Tour of Praslin and La Digue
Praslin is famous all around the world for its Vallée de
Mai, the natural habitat of coco de mer. It is easily reachable
from Mahè by helicopter, airplane or by ship. The coral barrier
surrounds it and it has splendid beaches with unpolluted ocean floor.
Anse Lazio and Anse Georgette beaches are peculiar and La Digue
has preserved its charm, resembling an antique site. It is protected
by the coral barrier that surrounds it and it is covered by luxuriant
nature with thin sand beaches surrounded by pink granite rocks.
It is reachable from Praslin by boat or helicopter.
